Privacy Policy
Last Updated: March 3, 2025
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") outlines how HiIoT and its wholly or partially controlled affiliates ("HiIoT," "we," "us," or "our") may collect, use, and share information, as well as the choices available to you regarding that information. We encourage you to read this Policy carefully and to contact us with any questions at support@hiiot.io.
1. Applicability of This Policy
This Policy governs our Services, which include our websites and mobile applications displaying this Policy (collectively, the "Sites"), as well as the services and tools we offer through our platform. This includes interactions with HiIoT’s APIs or other user interfaces associated with the issuance of our tokenized assets, bridging or conversion tools available for your use, insights, management of blockchain-based smart contracts, and any other features or content we operate—or that third-party applications or smart contracts rely on via HiIoT interfaces. These services also cover blockchain-based tokens generated, transferred, or otherwise involved with such smart contracts (collectively, the "Services and Tools"). If you disagree with any part of this Policy, please do not access or use our Services and Tools, Sites, or interact with our business.
Please note that this Policy does not cover our privacy practices for HiIoT job applicants, employees, or other personnel. Moreover, this Policy is not a contract and does not create any legal rights or obligations. We may also, at our discretion or as required by law, provide additional or different disclosures regarding our processing of your information without limiting this Policy's terms.
2. What We Collect
The type of information we gather depends on how you interact with us and our Services and Tools. HiIoT collects information directly provided by you, data automatically collected during your interactions, and information obtained from third-party sources and other organizations.
3. Information You Provide
We may collect the following information that you directly supply to us in connection with our Services and Tools:
l Contact Information: Your name, email address, physical address, and communication preferences.
l Financial Information: Data such as your blockchain addresses, wallet details, asset holdings, transaction history, and any fees paid.
l Transaction Information: Details regarding transactions conducted via our Services and Tools, including the type, amount, and timestamp.
l Background Information: Information required for KYC and other regulatory due diligence, which may include your passport details, photographs, bank statements, asset records, utility bills, proof of income, incorporation documents, and tax identification or verification data.
l Interaction Information: Data you provide when interacting with us—such as feedback, communications, inquiries, survey responses, your usage of our Services and Tools, and information shared with our support teams (including through live chat).
4. Information We Collect Automatically
Like many digital platforms, both we and our third-party providers automatically collect certain information from your device, your browsing activities, and how you use our Services and Tools. This information may include:
l Online Identifiers: Such as geolocation/tracking data, browser fingerprints, mobile carrier details, MAC addresses, user settings, mobile ad identifiers, internet service provider, operating system, browser name and version, personal IP addresses, the URL you enter, referring pages or campaigns, visit date/time, duration of your visit, and any errors encountered.
l Usage Data: Information about the navigation paths you take to, through, and from our Services, including details on pages viewed, links clicked, content interactions, and the duration and frequency of your activities.
l Location Information: City-level location data derived from your IP address, used for fraud prevention, customer support, and product improvement.
l Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies: We and our authorized third parties use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels, embedded scripts, location-identifying tools, and logging technologies, collectively "Cookies") to collect and utilize information as described in this Policy. These tools help us analyze data, assess content popularity, and understand user behavior. We may merge this cookie data with other information we collect. If you choose to block cookies or receive alerts when cookies are sent, please note that some parts of our Services and Tools may not function properly.
5. Information from Third Parties and Other Sources
We also obtain personal information from external sources, which is often combined with data collected directly from or automatically about you. The same categories of personal information mentioned above may be received from:
l Affiliates: Other companies owned or controlled by HiIoT, or companies under common ownership with HiIoT, especially when collaborating on providing our Services and Tools.
l Social Media: If you interact with us on social media, we might collect data from your public social media profile. This information helps us communicate with you, understand your interests, and gauge our overall user base.
l Identity Verification Providers: In some instances, we engage third-party services to verify the identity of individuals we interact with, primarily to prevent fraud.
l Data Analytics Providers: We work with external analytics firms that may collect personal data directly from you or from public blockchains, and share some or all of that information with us for analysis.
l Other Service Providers: Vendors that operate on our behalf (such as website hosting or marketing services) may collect and share personal information with us.
l Information Providers: Occasionally, we acquire data from external sources—such as credit bureaus or updated contact information providers—to supplement or correct the data we have collected.
l Publicly Available Sources: We may also gather information from public sources, such as blockchain records or publicly available contact information, and combine it with the data you provide directly.
6. Our Collection of Blockchain Information
Blockchain functions as a decentralized, immutable ledger recording asset transactions. In connection with our services, we may gather the following current and historical blockchain information either directly from you, from the third parties noted above, or from public blockchain data:
l Account Address: The unique blockchain address or domain used for asset transfers.
l Wallet Information: Details about the wallet provider and the wallet linked to a particular blockchain address.
l Account Balance & Assets: The balance associated with the blockchain address, along with any stored assets.
l Transaction Details: Information such as the transaction identifier, its position on the blockchain, date and time, transaction type, amounts sent or received, fee amounts, the sender’s and recipient’s addresses, and the transaction’s data size.
In certain cases, we may combine blockchain information with other data we collect—for example, when you must connect a blockchain wallet to our Service for account creation and wallet linking.
